Pragmata is an action game developed by Capcom. This project was announced in 2020, and although it was initially planned to debut two years later, its production process ultimately took much longer.
In Pragmata the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). We explore various locations filled with advanced technology and complete mission objectives, as well as face numerous opponents. On our path, we encounter both humanoid robots, which are not impressive in size, and much larger machines that serve as bosses.
We eliminate enemies by engaging in close combat or using futuristic rifles. We can also count on the support of Diana and her technological powers – she hacks enemies, making them vulnerable to our attacks (this involves a mini-game that accompanies the battle, requiring us to multitask).
Between visiting dangerous zones, we return to a shelter where we unlock various combat upgrades for the hero and our companion.
Pragmata takes us on a journey to a science fiction universe. During the game we take on the role of a hero named Hugh, clad in futuristic armor, who takes care of a girl-android named Diana. Although his protégé may seem completely defenseless at first glance, it quickly becomes apparent that she possesses highly useful abilities that can help this duo survive.

Pragmata from Capcom may seem like a game ideal for co-op. However, the developers argue that implementing such a mode would contradict their vision for this project.

When I played Pragmata last weekend at SGF, I wasn't sure what to expect. But comparing its puzzle-like combat mechanics to Resident Evil wasn't on my list.

Entertainium: 4 / 5 by Eduardo Rebouças
Going beyond a mere shooter, Pragmata is an entertaining game with a surprisingly sweet relationship between its unlikely protagonists. (Review written in Portuguese for Entertainium Brasil)
Thumb Culture: 5 / 5
Pragmata has made me remember the joys of raising my nephew and then making a person like me want to raise a child of my own. This game like God of War, The Last of Us! and The Witcher 3 has the same element of storytelling. That family is important, and that when raising them to cherish their time and growth. I enjoyed this game and would be surprised if there was ever some kind of sequel that came out of it. If I had anything to grip about when it comes to the game, it would be the lack of fast travel. Sure you can go from the shelter to the any accessible you’ve unlocked. But the fact you can’t go between one ladder location to another from it is pretty insane. I give Pragmata the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.
Pure Dead Gaming: 9 / 10
PRAGMATA delivers in almost every way. A strong narrative with a great lead duo, unique and engaging combat and beautiful visuals. It's great to see Capcom take a bold swing at a new IP and knock it out of the park.
