The story presents the events preceding those of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. The protagonist is a civil pilot who takes part in the colonization of Eden III. It quickly turns out that the icy planet is inhabited by Akrides, a race of deadly monsters with thermal energy running through their veins. The developers decided to somewhat slow down the gameplay and introduce such elements as a cover system and the ability to control powerful robots. The game is powered by the efficient Unreal Engine 3.

Apart from typical RPG story missions, an essential part of Albion Online are duels between players in PvP mode. The game’s world is split into 800 territories that can be conquered by players’ guilds, seeking valuable resources. Real-time combat uses mechanics typical of hack-and-slash games. While you are offline your territories are protected by a magic aura, so that battles can be fought only between online players. The game features a unique microtransaction system – a commission is drawn from transactions between players.

A typical point-and-click adventure game and a continuation to 2012's Yesterday. Yesterday Origins was developed by the creators of the original game - the Spanish Pendulo Studios. Again, the player takes on the role of John Yesterday; as for the plot, it was divided into two timelines. Thus the player, familiar with present-day events, is taken back to the era of the Spanish Inquisition. In terms of game mechanics, the game follows the pattern of its predecessor. The player explores the in-game locations, talks to NPCs, gathers items and solves various puzzles for the most part. Contrary to the first installment however, Yesterday Origins is a fully 3D title, though the creators have once again managed to convey the characteristic atmosphere of the original game through application of the specific, cartoonish art style.

A science-fiction survival horror game developed by the independent studio Lunar Software. The story focuses on discovering the causes behind the staff disappearance at the Lunar Research Station. In the game, the player travels through dark and claustrophobic chambers of the facility, gradually uncovering its secrets. The main item the player uses throughout the game is a special fixing tool which resembles a pistol. The player can modify this tool using disks which can be found around the station, thus the device can be used also as a weapon. The creators placed special emphasis on a convincing atmosphere the experience comes with, and the survival aspect of it. The latter means that the interface is minimal and each death of the protagonist is permanent. Many parts of the virtual station are randomly generated, such as different threats or the locations of NPCs. As a result, each playthrough can be completely different.

The next installment of the bestselling series of FPP shooters, focused mainly on multiplayer gameplay. Unreal Tournament 3, developed by Epic Games, is not an improved version of the previous installments, but a completely new game. The title introduces a number of previously unavailable elements, and employs the third generation of the powerful Unreal Engine. The authors decided to cut some of the previously known game modes, at the same time introducing some new ones, such as Duel, Betrayal, Greed, Vehicle Capture the Flag, or Warfare, a mix between Onslaught and Assault modes. The game contains the characteristic elements of the series, and contents known from UT 2004, such as maps, weapons, and vehicles, although the game doesn’t lack completely new elements as well. Other highlights include the new system of global communication, and an improved matchmaking system that pits beginner players against similarly skilled opponents.

A continuation of a 2006's third-person shooter by Epic Games. You play as Marcus Fenix, a soldier sentenced for desertion, and face a hostile race called Locust. The action takes place six months after the events of the first installment. Even though the majority of aliens have been crushed, the remnants are still hiding in the underground tunnels while Rustlung – a mysterious, fatal disease – spreads among humans. Soon after Locust implement a new technology allowing them to produce cave-ins that can swallow entire cities. Fenix and his team once again join the war effort with the intention of defeating the enemy once and for all. Mechanics are based on a well-proven formula utilized in the first part of the game. Gameplay focuses on dynamic action emphasizing the cover system. The title introduces a new, easiest difficulty level, new weapons, and a wider variety of enemies and NPCs around which the plot revolves.

Therefore, Goat Simulator features loads of purposely implemented humorous bugs. The editor gives you a chance to create your own levels and share them with others through the Internet. On the technical side, the game utilizes the power of Unreal Engine 3.

In contrast to the main installments of the series, the spin-off gives the player much greater freedom when it comes to the exploration of the world and selecting challenges to complete. During the game it is not only important to reach the finish line before the rivals, but to drive impressively as well. The player can select from around 300 models of vehicles of various classes (from sports cars through pick-ups to roadsters) that can be additionally tuned.
